Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Carlyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sebastian Scrooge!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlyle misses with an uppercut. Scrooge saw that one coming.
Scrooge fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Scrooge.

Carlyle keeps control of Scrooge as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Carlyle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Scrooge backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scrooge tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Scrooge has had enough of the clinch but Carlyle keeps him there for the moment.
Scrooge is looking to break free of the clinch but Carlyle has double underhooks.
Scrooge fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Scrooge is looking to control Carlyle's arms but Carlyle gets an underhook and turns him. Now Scrooge has his back to the cage.

Scrooge wants a takedown but no success here.
Charles Carlyle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sebastian Scrooge.
Carlyle has Scrooge pressed against the cage, preventing Scrooge from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Scrooge tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carlyle just stands there and leans against the cage.

Carlyle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carlyle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Carlyle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
My spies in The Sweat Lodge inform me that Scrooge has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Scrooge dives in and grabs Carlyle's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carlyle pushes down on Scrooge's head and hops out.
Scrooge fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlyle manages to avoid it.

Scrooge cracks Carlyle with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Scrooge throws a low kick, looking for Carlyle's leg but Carlyle calmly moves out of range.

Carlyle lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Carlyle is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Scrooge sees it coming and defends easily.
Carlyle thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Scrooge's head.
The fighters are battling for position here. Scrooge manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Scrooge tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carlyle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scrooge somewhat.
A little feinted left hand from Carlyle on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Scrooge throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Carlyle is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Scrooge.

Carlyle wants to sweep here but Scrooge controlling him for the moment.
Scrooge tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlyle is retaining full guard.

Carlyle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carlyle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Scrooge is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carlyle is aware though and is defending well.
Charles Carlyle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Scrooge is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carlyle defends well.

Carlyle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Scrooge works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Carlyle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Scrooge has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carlyle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Charles Carlyle will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Carlyle throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Scrooge throws a low kick but it's checked well by Carlyle.

A quick step to the side and Carlyle tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Scrooge pivots, looking for a leg kick but Carlyle is out of range and Scrooge settles back down.
Carlyle is looking to counter the offense by Scrooge and move into the clinch.
Carlyle is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Scrooge bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Scrooge is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carlyle.
Sebastian Scrooge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scrooge needs to keep his hands up - Carlyle had a free shot at his head there.

Scrooge uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carlyle.

Carlyle pushes off an throws an elbow but Scrooge leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Carlyle has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Scrooge clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Carlyle is looking for the choke from the back position but Scrooge is controlling his hands well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carlyle is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Scrooge defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Scrooge is in a bad position with Carlyle working for a choke. Scrooge manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
