Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buford Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abu Dhabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buford Fowler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dhabi misses with an uppercut
and Fowler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fowler is defended easily by Dhabi.
Fowler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dhabi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dhabi misses with a straight left.
Dhabi throws an off balance right hand
and Fowler counters with a nice leg kick.
Dhabi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fowler was well out of range. Poor timing from Dhabi.
Fowler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fowler slips under a jab.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dhabi or perhaps it was just good defense by Fowler, which made it look bad.
Abu Dhabi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dhabi missing with a left hand there. Fowler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dhabi just misses with a punch to the body.
Dhabi lands a jab.
Dhabi throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Fowler counter with a right hand.
Fowler slips under a jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fowler.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buford Fowler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Fowler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dhabi throws a jab when Fowler was well out of range.
Dhabi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Fowler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dhabi can't do much from the bottom here.
Dhabi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fowler haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dhabi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dhabi is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Dhabi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dhabi controlling the position well.
Dhabi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fowler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fowler's back!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dhabi controlling the position well here. Fowler rolled but Dhabi kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fowler covering up well and avoiding damage.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Dhabi controlling the positon.
Fowler trying to control but not successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
What can Fowler do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Fowler tries to escape but Dhabi has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Dhabi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dhabi biding his time, looking for the opening.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abu Dhabi dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Fowler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dhabi.
Dhabi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fowler looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dhabi missing with a left hand there. Fowler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dhabi jabs at Fowler's body.
Dhabi misses with a looping right.
Fowler displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dhabi throws out the jab.
Dhabi swings for the body but Fowler moves out of range.
Fowler bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Dhabi comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Fowler falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Fowler was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Abu Dhabi!
Abu Dhabi spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
