Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Pegg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Opie River (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). River is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Skillet - Monster . The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

River throws a leg kick
and Pegg counters with a nice uppercut.
River lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pegg's sensitive parts.
Pegg clinches with his opponent.
River makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

River misses with a short punch on the inside.
Pegg can't find room to land a body shot as River controls the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
River looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pegg is one step ahead there.
Pegg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as River works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pegg is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. River doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pegg.
Pegg wants to lay and pray for a moment but River keeps working.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
River throws a shot from downtown. Pegg moves away and avoids it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
River throws a body shot but no joy.
Pegg swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

That was a close second round but I would say that Simon Pegg will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Pegg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as River sprawls well. River wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pegg gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

River drives through and clinches with Pegg against the cage.

Opie River comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well River has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
