Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hoody Hooty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne McGain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hoody Hooty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wayne McGain!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooty fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hooty darts in looking for a takedown but McGain gets double underhooks and turns Hooty into the cage.
McGain drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hooty gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hooty is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hoody Hooty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGain has hold of one of Hooty's legs. Hooty is fighting the takedown attempt but McGain gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
McGain tries to free his leg and advance position but Hooty is retaining full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGain prevents Hooty from getting back to his feet.

McGain told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hooty has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McGain has passed into side control.
Hooty can't do much from the bottom here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hooty is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McGain's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McGain's back!

McGain rolls, trying to escape but Hooty keeps control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hooty tightening his grip on McGain, looking for the choke.
Hooty struggling to land strikes to the head as McGain covers up.

McGain wants to escape the position.
Hooty looking to hold on to the position here but McGain rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Hooty wants to control from the top but McGain keeps moving.
Hooty will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McGain is looking for a triangle but Hooty pushes his legs off easily.

McGain pulls Hooty in close to his closed guard and prevents Hooty from doing any damage or advancing position.
McGain is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Hooty.
Hooty trying to control the position but McGain is working away.
Hooty is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down McGain's shoulder. That is not cool.
Hooty tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
McGain can't do much from the bottom here.

McGain is trying to control Hooty's posture but Hooty avoids it.
McGain misses with an elbow from the bottom.
McGain wants to control but Hooty postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hooty wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGain keeps working.
McGain regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hooty's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
McGain wants to control but Hooty is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McGain regains full guard. Nicely done.
Hooty trying to control but McGain is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

McGain shoots in but Hooty avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hooty misses with a takedown attempt
and McGain makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hooty tries a head kick but it misses.
Hooty slaps away a takedown attempt from McGain, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hooty shoots in for a double leg but McGain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and McGain decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hooty's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hooty wants to get back to his feet but McGain is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hooty scrambles and gets back to his feet.
McGain closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hooty to the mat! Hooty manages to get full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hooty is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hooty wants to control the position but McGain says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Hooty is trying to maintain the position but McGain is very close to passing his half guard.
McGain throwing shots but Hooty is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hooty is refusing to be controlled, as McGain sits in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McGain wants to pass to mount but Hooty is defending the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hoody Hooty will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
No luck for Hooty with that takedown attempt.
McGain blocks a leg kick.
McGain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Hooty wants to get back to his feet but McGain is dominant here and he's now got Hooty's back!

McGain is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Hooty with him. Hooty is trying to defend but McGain has an arm under the chin now! Hooty grimaces and is forced to tap out!
