Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Snowy Gandalf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Hartunnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gandalf's entrance music is 300 Violin Ochestra. A fine choice. Timo Hartunnen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Snowy Gandalf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Hartunnen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gandalf lands a head kick!
Hartunnen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hartunnen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gandalf is just riding it out for now. Hartunnen eventually gives up the hold.
Gandalf slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gandalf is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hartunnen is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hartunnen has gone for a leg lock! Gandalf slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hartunnen's guard.
Hartunnen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gandalf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gandalf manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gandalf uses his free foot to push down on Hartunnen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hartunnen.

Hartunnen is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Gandalf gets his way!

Gandalf has his foot on Hartunnen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hartunnen works his way back into a safe position though.

Hartunnen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gandalf swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hartunnen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gandalf is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hartunnen, into his guard.

Gandalf seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hartunnen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gandalf in particular looking to stall.
Gandalf is looking for a kimura but Hartunnen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gandalf to get the leverage.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Hartunnen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gandalf's guard.
Hartunnen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gandalf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hartunnen has managed to get both his arms back between Gandalf's legs - danger averted.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gandalf is on top in guard.

Hartunnen isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gandalf stacks Hartunnen on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gandalf!
Snowy Gandalf overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hartunnen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gandalf tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gandalf has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gandalf has hold of Hartunnen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hartunnen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gandalf cranks the arm and Hartunnen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hartunnen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Snowy Gandalf!
Our winner, Snowy Gandalf, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Timo Hartunnen stepped up to the mic, saying 'I want a rematch as soon as possible. This was a fluke victory by my opponent and I will put him in his place the next time we meet.'.
