Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hurricane. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

We've been told by Carter's head coaches at Madz that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Frazier throws out a loose jab but Carter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Frazier has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Carter is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Frazier throws an overhand right that lands on Carter's shoulder, as Carter tries to avoid the shot.
Carter connects with a body shot that sends Frazier's belly button to the back.

Frazier clinches up with Carter and pushes him back against the cage.

Carter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Carter throws a body shot but no joy.

Frazier manages to break the clinch.

Carter tries to land a front kick but Frazier steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Frazier tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Carter defends well and Frazier ends up having to push Carter into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Carter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Frazier.

Carter scores with a head kick. Frazier tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Frazier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Frazier fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carter to the ground. Frazier is now in Carter's guard.

Frazier stands up from Carter's guard - Frazier perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rubin Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Frazier is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Carter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Frazier cracks Carter with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It seemed like Frazier was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Frazier might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

It looked like Carter wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Carter throws a big counter combination but Frazier scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Frazier is looking to clinch but Carter is avoiding it.

Carter throws a right and a left that Frazier avoids nicely.
Frazier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carter throws out the jab.
Nice straight punches there by Frazier. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Frazier.

Frazier connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Carter momentarily.

Carter is rocked!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frazier cracks Carter with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Carter tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Frazier pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Carter is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
