The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Barry Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cherubim on the ground.
Barry Jr tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cherubim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cherubim is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Barry Jr is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Barry Jr flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Cherubim anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Barry Jr and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Cherubim slips an arm under Barry Jr chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Cherubim has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Cherubim is squeezing on Barry Jr like an anaconda would it's prey. Barry Jr fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
