Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Ortiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tarmo Rautakallio!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rautakallio throws a lazy right hand but Ortiz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ortiz tries to clinch but Rautakallio is having none of it.
Ortiz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Joe Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rautakallio stuffs the takedown.
Rautakallio closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rautakallio is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ortiz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rautakallio tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rautakallio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ortiz keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rautakallio is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ortiz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Ortiz's face as Rautakallio controls the position.
Ortiz tries to bench press Rautakallio off him but Rautakallio keeps the position.
Ortiz is trying to control Rautakallio's posture but Rautakallio avoids it.
Ortiz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rautakallio is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rautakallio has hold of Ortiz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ortiz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rautakallio cranks the arm and Ortiz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ortiz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tarmo Rautakallio!
