Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anwar Sadat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zhelin Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anwar Sadat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sadat lands with a straight right. Li didn't see that one coming.

Li looks for a takedown but Sadat sprawls well.
Li shoots in looking for a takedown but Sadat manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Li's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've been hearing reports that Sadat has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Horrible takedown attempt by Li or perhaps it was just good defense by Sadat, which made it look bad.
Sadat tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Li defends well and Sadat ends up having to push Li into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Li cracks Sadat with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anwar Sadat.
