PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ardian Kurniawan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Small is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kurniawan.

Kurniawan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Kurniawan tries for a kimura but Small is defending well.
Small gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kurniawan is trying to control the action in half guard but Small is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kurniawan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Small is just riding it out for now. Kurniawan eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Small moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Small is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Small escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kurniawan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Small has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kurniawan should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Small has tightened it up now! Kurniawan should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
