Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Gemgi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MIlky Socks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Samuel Gemgi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gemgi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Socks in his tracks.
Socks shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gemgi as he jumps to the side.

Gemgi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gemgi wants it to stay on the feet.
Socks's coach down at Foot Loves was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Socks's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Socks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gemgi's waist but Gemgi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Socks off to one side.
Samuel Gemgi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MIlky Socks.

Socks shoots for a double leg takedown but Gemgi sprawls well. He's pushed Socks's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Socks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gemgi tries to avoid it but Socks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gemgi to the ground. Gemgi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Socks on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gemgi. Gemgi obviously looking to wear him down.

Socks drops his hands momentarily. Gemgi doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Socks staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Socks doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
