Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dudley Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson has chosen Lambda Lambda Lambda Song as his entrance music. Dawson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dudley Dawson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson tries to clinch but Wells moves out of range.

and Wells decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dawson's guard.
Wells slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Dawson.
Wells is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Wells decides to stand and escape the position.
Wells shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dawson pinned against the cage. Dawson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Wells changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dawson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dawson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wells kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Wells is riding his opponent, not letting Dawson buck him off.

Dawson jumps guard but Wells stands there with Dawson around his waist. Dawson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wells keeps control of Dawson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Wells is pushing Dawson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Wells has the hooks in. Dawson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Dawson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
