Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Leigertwood!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karl lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Karl throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Karl takes a swing at Leigertwood's ribcage but misses.
Leigertwood moves in looking to clinch but Karl pushes him off.
Karl looks to land a combination. Leigertwood sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Leigertwood has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Leigertwood takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Leigertwood tries to clinch up.
Karl looks to land a combination but Leigertwood avoids it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Leigertwood.
Karl stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Karl wants it to stay on the feet.
Leigertwood gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Karl scores with a nice head shot.
Karl gets in close and tags Leigertwood with a short punch that almost sends Leigertwood to the mat! Oh Leigertwood is in big trouble! He turns his back on Karl, trying to create some distance but Karl rushes him, striking wildly and Leigertwood goes down! The referee tackles Karl into the cage to end the fight! Karl is one violent man!

In his post fight interview, Pernell Karl started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
