Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank Abbot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tank Abbot!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbot stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Abbot wants it to stay on the feet.
Abbot avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Taylor shoots in and drives through. Abbot sprawls well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Taylor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Taylor is defended easily by Abbot.
Abbot throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Taylor.


It looks like Jason Taylor has been cut.
Taylor goes for a double leg but Abbot avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Abbot continues to drive forward.
Taylor has Abbot pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Abbot manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Abbot stops a takedown attempt from Taylor.
Abbot misses with a body punch.
Abbot lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Taylor backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big head kick from Abbot and Taylor is sent sprawling to the canvas!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abbot postures up.
Oh Taylor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Abbot got a little sloppy there for a moment and Taylor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Abbot has managed to get both his arms back between Taylor's legs - danger averted.
Taylor seems to have got his legs back now.

Taylor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Abbot defends well.
Abbot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Abbot stays in close to Taylor's body and controls the position.
Taylor will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Taylor fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Taylor with that takedown attempt.

An inside leg kick lands from Abbot.
Abbot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown. Abbot tries to sprawl out of it but Taylor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abbot manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Abbot throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Taylor misses with a takedown attempt - Abbot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Abbot slips a straight right by Taylor.
The fight stays on the outside here - Taylor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Taylor is trying hard to land a takedown here. Abbot sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Abbot looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A combination from Taylor does no damage.
Tank Abbot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Abbot thuds his shin into the meat of Taylor's side.

Taylor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Abbot is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Taylor thows a huge punch but Abbot dodges it nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Abbot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Abbot won't allow Taylor to pass to mount.
Taylor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abbot keeps working.

Taylor is looking for a kimura here.

Abbot holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Danga de danga de dang - Abbot scores with a four punch combination!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tank Abbot dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jason Taylor's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Taylor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Abbot avoids it really well and circles away.

Taylor has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Taylor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abbot tries to avoid it but Taylor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abbot to the ground. Abbot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jason Taylor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Taylor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Abbot looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Abbot backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Taylor's temple! It sends Taylor violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Abbot celebrates and the doctors try to help Taylor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Tank Abbot!
