Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elbert Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slow KoSitu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elbert Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Slow KoSitu!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Chris Dean and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

KoSitu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Robbins is trying to pull guard but KoSitu has him pressed against the cage.

KoSitu manages to break the clinch.
Robbins shoots for a takedown but KoSitu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Robbins tries to clinch but KoSitu is having none of it.
KoSitu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Robbins's calf.

KoSitu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Robbins is trying to defend but KoSitu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Robbins won't allow KoSitu to pass to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
KoSitu stalling.
KoSitu's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Robbins is looking for a sweep. KoSitu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Robbins trying to control but KoSitu postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Robbins is trying is best to control the position here.
Robbins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. KoSitu is working away from the top position though.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Robbins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

KoSitu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Robbins defends it well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

KoSitu gets the takedown into side control.

Robbins can't do much from the bottom here.
Robbins is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
KoSitu controlling the pace.
KoSitu wants to free his trapped foot but Robbins is holding on for dear life with his legs.
KoSitu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Robbins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Robbins is controlling KoSitu's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Robbins is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
KoSitu is pressing down on Robbins's thigh, looking to free his foot. Robbins is holding on for now.

KoSitu darts in and clinches Robbins up against the cage.
Robbins jumps guard but KoSitu stands there with Robbins around his waist. Robbins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slow KoSitu dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

KoSitu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Robbins tries to clinch but KoSitu moves out of range.

Robbins manages to get to full guard.

KoSitu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

KoSitu wants to control from the top but Robbins keeps moving.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Robbins wants to clinch.

Robbins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Robbins has control of KoSitu's left arm, preventing KoSitu from doing any damage.

KoSitu wanted to stand there but Robbins had control of the position.
KoSitu trying to control the position from guard on top but Robbins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Robbins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

KoSitu misses with a kick to the body.
Robbins thows a leg kick but KoSitu checks it
and KoSitu counters with a nice body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slow KoSitu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

KoSitu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Robbins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Robbins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but KoSitu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
KoSitu wants to pass the guard but Robbins is keeping the position.

KoSitu decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Robbins, up you get!

KoSitu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Robbins is trying to defend but KoSitu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

KoSitu is looking to advance position but Robbins won't allow it.

KoSitu wants to advance to full mount but Robbins doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

KoSitu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
KoSitu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Robbins wants to sweep but no luck.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Robbins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. KoSitu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

KoSitu is looking to stand up but Robbins won't let him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sloppy strikes from KoSitu. Those never looked like landing.
Elbert Robbins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Slow KoSitu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

KoSitu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Slow KoSitu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well KoSitu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
