The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Basilan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Basilan.
Cho connects with a body shot that sends Basilan's belly button to the back.
Basilan tries to close the distance and clinch but Cho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Basilan throws a leg kick that is checked
and Cho counters with a straight right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Basilan. Cho does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cho misses with a head kick.
Cho bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Cho on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Basilan cracks Cho with a good jab.
A jab lands there for Cho.
Basilan is looking to slow Cho down with leg kicks.
Cho checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cho fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Basilan.
Cho slips under a jab from Basilan.
Cho is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cho throws a shot from downtown. Basilan moves away and avoids it.

Cho takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Cho ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cho is still on wobbly legs! Can Basilan finish him?
Cho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Basilan.
Basilan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A jab lands there for Basilan.
Basilan misses with a looping right.
Basilan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cho sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cho avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Basilan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Basilan throws a hook but Cho blocks it.
Basilan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cho. Cho obviously looking to wear him down.
Nice defenses there by Cho.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Basilan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cho.
