PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jo Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiller comes to the cage accompanied by Cabbage - No meat for you. Jo Wilson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Hiller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jo Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hiller looking to score a takedown here. Wilson is defending well but Hiller drives through and ends up in Wilson's guard.
Hiller is looking to work some ground and pound but Wilson has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Hiller will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wilson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Hiller throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Wilson's body to avoid the submission. Wilson has instead reached around Hiller's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Wilson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jo Wilson!
