Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Buckner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dog's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, SuperNova. Matt Buckner has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Buckner!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buckner closes the distance and clinches.

Buckner wants the takedown. Dog is fighting it off but Buckner persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dog's guard against the ropes.
Dog looking to control.
Dog will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Buckner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Buckner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dog is adopting a defensive guard.
Buckner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dog had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Buckner defends it easily.
Dog is trying to control the position but Buckner postures up.

Dog preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Dog escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Buckner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Buckner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Buckner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Buckner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dog has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Buckner has managed to get both his arms back between Dog's legs - danger averted.
Dog bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Buckner's guard.

Buckner is pulling down on Dog's head to control his posture.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dog throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Buckner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Buckner keeping moving, preventing Dog from controlling successfully.
Buckner pulls Dog in close to prevent any damage.
Buckner trying to control the position.

Dog is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Buckner shoots for a double leg takedown but Dog sprawls well. He's pushed Buckner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dog half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Buckner dives in and scores a takedown into Dog's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Buckner throws an elbow that misses. Dog uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Buckner's guard. Nice move by Dog!

Buckner might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dog haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Dog is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dog postures up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Matt Buckner will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Buckner fails with a takedown attempt.
Buckner tries for a takedown but Dog sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Buckner tries to clinch up

and Dog counters with a nice double leg into side control. Buckner won't be happy with that.
Dog trying to control the action but Buckner is working from the bottom.

Dog thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Crazy Dog overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dog looking for a guillotine from mount but Buckner is having none of it.

Dog is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Buckner has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Buckner!

Buckner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dog is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Buckner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Buckner's back!

Dog working for a choke but Buckner reverses nicely into Dog 's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Buckner looking to sit in guard and control but Dog gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dog wants to control from the top but Buckner keeps moving.
Dog is really struggling to control Buckner but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Buckner wants to get back to his feet but Dog is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dog wants to pass the guard but Buckner is keeping the position.
Buckner wants to sweep here but Dog controlling him for the moment.
Buckner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crazy Dog dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Buckner shoots in looking for a takedown but Dog manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Buckner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dog lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Buckner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dog looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Buckner has a takedown stuffed.
Crazy Dog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Buckner.
Dog scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nice takedown defense from Dog. No joy for Buckner on that attempt.

Dog gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Buckner to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Buckner tries to stand but Dog is controlling from the bottom.

Dog looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Buckner is defending well. Dog quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Buckner has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Dog celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Crazy Dog!
Crazy Dog took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
