Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuji Nagata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy The Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuji Nagata had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yuji Nagata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Timmy The Gun!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagata shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. The Gun eats them both and turns towards Nagata to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nagata wants to clinch.
Nagata throws a head kick that misses.
Nagata takes a swing at The Gun's ribcage but misses.
Nagata pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nagata pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nagata tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but The Gun was well out of range. Poor timing from Nagata.
The Gun avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The Gun looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nagata misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The Gun shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nagata's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Nagata's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Gun postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Nagata looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Gun is one step ahead there.
The Gun is working Nagata over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The Gun prevents Nagata from improving his position.
The Gun winds up and cracks Nagata with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The Gun lands with a punch from half guard.
Nagata moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Nagata wants to stand and escape but The Gun is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Yuji Nagata will probably get the nod.

Nagata tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Gun swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The Gun shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nagata is trying to defend but The Gun finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Nagata is trying to defend against the ground and pound but The Gun scores with a couple of nice shots.

The Gun throws a strike but Nagata rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A nice left hand lands by Nagata.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nagata, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
