PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is 'Freedom of Choice' by A Perfect Circle. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses with a body shot.
Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Bravo on that attempt.
Bravo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lee throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bravo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lee to the mat! Lee manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bravo feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Bravo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lee lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bravo!

Bravo tries to reverse the position but Lee maintains control.

Lee has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bravo's face.

Lee is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bravo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lee postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bravo looks a forlorn figure.
Lee pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Bravo kicks Lee off and gets back to his feet.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but Bravo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bravo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alexander Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bravo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Bravo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bravo drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Bravo off! Bravo jumps back into Lee's guard.

Bravo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lee throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bravo landing some decent shots from guard.
Lee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bravo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bravo has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Lee is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander Lee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Lee wants to hold on but Bravo pushes him away.
Bravo wants to take his opponent's back but Lee doesn't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
