Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimas Boykiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boykiy comes to the cage accompanied by Перемен. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 19 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimas Boykiy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 25 - 1, fighting out of London, Matthew Cannon!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boykiy feints and then cracks Cannon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cannon down.
Boykiy tries to clinch up but Cannon circles away and keeps his distance.
Cannon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Boykiy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boykiy tries to clinch up but Cannon circles away and keeps his distance.
Cannon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cannon misses with a series of wild punches.
Boykiy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cannon circles away quickly and effectively.
Boykiy connects with a leg kick. Cannon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Boykiy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Boykiy clinches with his opponent.
Cannon tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cannon slows down the pace here.

Boykiy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boykiy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cannon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Donk. Boykiy catches Cannon right on the button with a cross.
Boykiy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Boykiy thumps Cannon with a low kick.
Boykiy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cannon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cannon looks to land a left hand but Boykiy moved out of range nicely.
Boykiy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cannon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boykiy misses with a hook. Cannon ducked under it nicely.
Boykiy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Boykiy drops Cannon with a beautiful combination! Cannon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Boykiy is looking for the KO!


It looks like Matthew Cannon has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cannon stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Boykiy.
Boykiy works the jab nicely.


Cannon is rocked!
A slapping leg kick lands for Boykiy.
Cannon is still on wobbly legs! Can Boykiy finish him?
Boykiy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Cannon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Boykiy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boykiy throws a series of punches but Cannon avoids them all with ease.

Cannon seems to have recovered his senses.
Cannon tries to circle away but Boykiy has him pinned against the cage.
Cannon has a couple of punches blocked by Boykiy.

Boykiy feints and then cracks Cannon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cannon down.

Boykiy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boykiy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Boykiy wants to land a leg kick but Cannon is out of range.

Boykiy's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Boykiy misses with a short punch on the inside.
Cannon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Boykiy just leaning against Cannon, taking a breather.
Cannon tries to break free but Boykiy pushes him back against the cage.

Boykiy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boykiy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cannon is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Boykiy rather than just go for the knockout.
Boykiy doesn't manage to clinch there - Cannon circles away.
Boykiy dodges the punch combination from Cannon.
A telegraphed right hand from Boykiy misses the target.
Boykiy loads up on a big right hand but Cannon slips the punch.
Cannon darts in looking for a takedown but Boykiy gets double underhooks and turns Cannon into the cage.
Dimas Boykiy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Cannon.

Cannon cracks Boykiy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

You can see that Cannon has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh!!! Boykiy has knocked Cannon down with a huge combo! Boykiy steps away and waves a wobbly Cannon back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Boykiy is pushing Cannon up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Cannon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Boykiy enables Cannon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Boykiy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boykiy holds on and takes a little breather.

Cannon thows a huge punch but Boykiy dodges it nicely.

Cannon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boykiy sees it coming and defends easily.
Boykiy pushes Cannon off looking to stand but Cannon dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cannon throws a hook but Boykiy blocks it.
Boykiy throws a half hearted mid kick.
Boykiy tries to clinch up.

A close second round but Matthew Cannon will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Cannon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boykiy.
Cannon's jab looks to have found its range, popping Boykiy under the eye.

Boykiy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cannon can do to turn this around?
Boykiy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fighters circle, before Boykiy throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Cannon's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Boykiy lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Dimas Boykiy decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
