The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peltola shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Potter sprawls well. Potter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Peltola gets slowly back to his feet.
Potter is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Mertsi Peltola has been cut.

Peltola closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Peltola is working for a submission of some sort.

Potter went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Potter needs to keep his hands up - Peltola had a free shot at his head there.
Peltola has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Peltola there as he acknowledges the shot.
Peltola gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Potter to counter with a crisp jab.

Potter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peltola.
Potter was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Potter seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Peltola throws a jab but it's blocked by Potter.
Peltola fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Potter manages to avoid it.
Potter lands a glancing blow to the side of Peltola's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peltola has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Potter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Potter. Peltola does a little dance to reset his feet.
Potter throws a shot from downtown. Peltola moves away and avoids it.

Peltola throws a hook but Potter avoids it easily.

Potter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Potter changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Potter misses with a wild body shot.
And Peltola tries to counter it with a takedown but Potter pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Potter takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Potter fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Peltola to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Peltola looks to clinch but Potter throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Peltola taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
