The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Arthur with that takedown attempt.
Nice defenses there by Arthur.
Polk misses with a wild body shot.
Polk drops Arthur with a right and a left! Polk comes rushing in but Arthur regains his composure and manages to keep Polk in guard.

It looks like Chuck Arthur has been cut.

Arthur is looking for a triangle but Polk pushes his legs off easily.
Polk wanted to stand there but Arthur had control of the position.
Arthur is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Polk decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Polk throws a right and a left that Arthur avoids nicely.
Polk misses with a body shot.
Polk loads up on a big right hand but Arthur slips the punch.
Polk misses with an uppercut.
A punch combination from Polk misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Arthur.
Horrible takedown by Arthur or perhaps it was just good defense by Polk which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Arthur. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

James Polk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arthur shoots in looking for a takedown. Polk tries to sprawl out of it but Arthur keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Polk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Polk feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Arthur sprawling to the canvas! Arthur rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Polk finish him?!
Polk lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
