Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Troy Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Carzola!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Adams is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carzola has escaped the position, nice work there.

Adams swings around for an armbar but Carzola sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Adams's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Carzola after a bit of a struggle.

Adams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adams wants to get up but he can't break Carzola's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
