Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Melchizedek Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Take Home!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo lands a nice looking body shot.
Halo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


It looks like Take Home has been cut.

Home tries to keep at a distance but Halo has taken the fight into the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Halo.
Home tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Halo just stands there and leans against the cage.

Halo breaks the clinch.
A head kick misses from Halo.
Home tries to score a power double leg takedown but Halo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Home somewhat.

Halo closes the distance and pushes Home back into the cage.
Home has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Halo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Halo throws a nice head kick!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Home is defended easily by Halo.
Melchizedek Halo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Take Home.

and Halo counters with a single leg into guard. Home didn't expect that.
Halo is pushing down on Home's leg trying to pass to half guard. Home is fighting to maintain full guard but Halo has managed to sneak the leg through.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Halo connects with a nice short shot to Home's temple.
Halo wants to take a breather but Home is having none of it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Halo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Halo lands a big shot there that rocks Home but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Halo looking to control but Home is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Halo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Home is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Halo wants to finish this one by submission but Home is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Halo.

Halo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Home turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Halo off and cradles Home's limp body as Halo celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Melchizedek Halo!
