The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Champ Ii forces Melo back against the ropes and clinches.

The fighters circle momentarily. Champ Ii darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Champ Ii. Melo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Champ Ii throws a hook to the side of Melo's head but Melo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Melo tries to pull guard but Champ Ii holds him up against the ropes and eventually Melo drops back down to his feet.
Qfc Champ Ii has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Melo.

Champ Ii creates a bit of distance for himself, with Melo pressed up against the ropes and cracks Melo with a massive uppercut! Melo goes down! He's out cold! Wow, that was some serious power there by Champ Ii!

Fabio Melo spoke after the fight, saying 'I will train hard so that this does not recur frequently, but defeat is part of the sport, I will prepare myself to be better in my next fight!'.
