Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keiran Corkhill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Lima!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corkhill walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lima is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lima stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lima wants it to stay on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Corkhill is defended easily by Lima.
Lima lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Corkhill has a takedown stuffed.

Lima fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Corkhill manages to avoid it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Corkhill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lima sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Corkhill somewhat.
Corkhill takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Corkhill takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Lima gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Corkhill can't get the takedown.
Corkhill drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Corkhill has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lima after a bit of a struggle.

Lima breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Corkhill stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lima.
Nice sprawl there from Lima as Corkhill shoots in.

Lima has closed the distance and engaged Corkhill in a clinch.

Lima escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lima fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Corkhill shoots in and bounces Lima off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Corkhill thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corkhill prevents Lima from getting back to his feet.

Corkhill is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lima is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lima has escaped and now he's on top!

Lima wants to stand but Corkhill has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Corkhill wants to improve his position but Lima is controlling well.
Corkhill definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Diego Lima dominated that round.

Lima dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Corkhill takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Corkhill steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lima. That one must have hurt.
Lima thuds his shin into the meat of Corkhill's side.
Lima fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Lima fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Corkhill, pushing him back against the cage.

Lima pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Corkhill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lima's waist but Lima gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Corkhill off to one side.
Corkhill fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lima.
Lima fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lima throws a quick inside leg kick.
Lima throws a leg kick but Corkhill moved away.
Lima throws a leg kick which misses Corkhill's front leg but catches the back leg as Corkhill tries to avoid it.
Corkhill tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lima defends well and Corkhill ends up having to push Lima into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Corkhill has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lima is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Diego Lima seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Corkhill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lima as he jumps to the side.

Corkhill chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lima can pounce on him.

Lima throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Corkhills head.

Lima escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lima, as that shot connected.
Lima connects with a solid leg kick.
Lima throws out a leg kick but Corkhill moves out of range and Lima only half commits.
Lima dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Corkhill. That did some damage!
Diego Lima is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Corkhill walks into a jab.

Corkhill has a takedown stuffed.
Lima has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Corkhill stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lima.
Corkhill dives in for a single leg takedown but Lima sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Lima has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Corkhill seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Lima can turn it around.

Corkhill is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Lima fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Corkhill has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Lima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Corkhill shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lima pinned against the cage. Lima gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Corkhill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lima is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lima is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Corkhill asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Corkhill wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lima, who protects the arm well.
Diego Lima is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Corkhill tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Corkhill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lima is trying to escape the position but Corkhill is controlling the position.
Lima really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corkhill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Corkhill has hold of Lima's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lima seems comfortable defending it but Corkhill has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lima is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lima is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Corkhill couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Keiran Corkhill!
Our winner, Keiran Corkhill, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
