Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Liam Acton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trey Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acton misses with a double jab.
Walsh has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Acton is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Walsh dives in and grabs Acton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Acton pushes down on Walsh's head and hops out.

Walsh forces Acton back against the cage and clinches.

Walsh gets control of Acton's arms and successfully pulls guard. Walsh will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Walsh looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Walsh thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Acton won't allow Walsh to sweep him here.
Acton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Acton trying to control the position from guard on top but Walsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Acton is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Walsh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Walsh has escaped and now he's on top!

Walsh wants to control from the top but Acton keeps moving.
Walsh stops Acton from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Walsh drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Acton dives on top into guard.

Walsh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Walsh wants to pass to mount but Acton is defending the position.

Walsh seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Acton has recovered full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Walsh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Walsh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walsh tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Walsh is looking to take a break and control but Acton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Acton has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Walsh swings around for an armbar but Acton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Walsh's guard.
Acton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Walsh wants to sweep but no luck.
Acton slips nicely into half guard.
Acton is just content to waste time from the top position. Walsh takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walsh can do anything to dispel that myth.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Walsh is on top in guard.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Acton - that will leave a mark!

so Walsh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Walsh pushes down on Acton's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Trey Walsh has got the better of the ground game so far.

Acton is pressing down on Walsh's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Acton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walsh controls the pace.
Walsh stands up over Acton, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Acton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Walsh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Walsh wants to control from the top but Acton keeps moving.
Walsh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Acton throws a sloppy head kick and Walsh moves out of range easily.
Acton doesn't manage to clinch there - Walsh circles away.
Acton tries to close the distance and clinch but Walsh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Walsh avoids the head kick by Acton.
Acton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Acton stuffs the takedown.

and Walsh counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walsh drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Acton manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Walsh has Acton in his guard.

Walsh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Acton's guard.

Walsh is working Acton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Walsh closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Acton quickly recovers to half guard.
Walsh drops an elbow to the side of Acton's head.

Walsh is working for a kimura but Acton is defending it quite comfortably.

Walsh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Acton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Walsh.

Walsh lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Acton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walsh on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Acton is defending against the submission attempts here by Walsh.
Walsh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Acton is staying active underneath Walsh, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Acton is trying to control but can't.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Acton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Walsh pulls his leg out and moves away.

Walsh decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Walsh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

I've got Walsh winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
