Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Potter Dunn!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dunn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Potter Dunn has been cut.
Dunn avoids the head kick by Nelson.
Potter Dunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nelson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Dunn misses with the combination.
Nelson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Dunn has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Nelson gets tackled into the cage by Dunn. Dunn maintains the clinch.
Dunn lands a nice uppercut.
Nelson tries to throw a body punch but Dunn avoids it by throwing Nelson back against the cage.
Nelson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Nelson tries a body shot but Dunn blocks it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nelson misses with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Dunn.
Dunn is trying to break the clinch but Nelson is controlling him.
Dunn misses with some punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dunn tightens his grip and picks Nelson up, before dumping him to the ground. Nelson manages to land in guard.

Dunn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dunn stops Nelson from standing up.
Dunn tries to free his leg and advance position but Nelson is retaining full guard.
Dunn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Let's hope that Dunn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nelson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dunn defends well.
Nelson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nelson looking to control but Dunn passes into half guard.

Dunn is trying to work for a kimura but Nelson is defending well.

Dunn looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Dunn trying to control the pace.
Dunn moves into full mount! Nelson won't be happy about that!
Nelson wants to hold on but Dunn pushes him away.
Dunn controlling from the full mount.
Nelson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dunn cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Nelson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dunn controlling his opponent.
Nelson tries to hold on but Dunn pushes him away.

Dunn has hold of Nelson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nelson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Dunn working for a guillotine from mount but Nelson is in no mood to give up.
Dunn takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Nelson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dunn tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dunn sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nelson wants to hold on but Dunn pushes him away.
Dunn controlling the pace for now.
Nelson tries to lock up and control but Dunn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Dunn quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Dunn but it's paid off an Nelson is forced to tap! Nice work by Dunn.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Potter Dunn!
