Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amir Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Pinkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinkman has chosen On the Rag as his entrance music. Jesse Pinkman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amir Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Pinkman!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Pinkman misses with a wild body shot.
Khan connects with a solid leg kick.
Khan throws the left hand but Pinkman avoids the punch easily.
Khan tests Pinkman's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Khan slips under a jab.
Khan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pinkman's head backwards.
Pinkman fails with a takedown attempt.
Khan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Khan misses with a hook.
Pinkman throws a big shot that misses.
Khan throws a nice inside leg kick.

Pinkman throws a nice looking combination but Khan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Pinkman counters with a single leg into guard. Khan didn't expect that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Khan controls Pinkman momentarily but Pinkman frees himself.

Khan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Pinkman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Pinkman is fighting to break Khan's control of his arms but Khan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Khan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Khan closes the distance and clinches.

Pinkman wants the takedown. Khan is fighting it off but Pinkman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Khan's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pinkman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Khan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pinkman has Khan in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Khan is fighting to break Pinkman's control of his arms but Pinkman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Khan wants to get up but he can't break Pinkman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Khan wants to stand and escape but instead Pinkman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

A close round but Jesse Pinkman will probably get the nod.

Khan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pinkman. That did some damage!

We've been hearing good reports from Khan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan wants to get back to his feet but Pinkman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pinkman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Khan scores with a one two! Pinkman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The fighters circling - Khan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Pinkman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Khan struggles to land a body shot inside as Pinkman controls his hands.
Khan is pressed up against the cage. Pinkman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Khan down to the mat. Khan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Pinkman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Khan leaves Pinkman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pinkman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khan.

Khan feints and then cracks Pinkman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pinkman down.
Khan lands with an uppercut that bounces Pinkman off the cage and back into range.

Jesse Pinkman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Khan lunges at Pinkman with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pinkman's hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pinkman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Khan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Pinkman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Khan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pinkman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khan.
Pinkman looks to score with a jab to the body but Khan is just out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amir Khan dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Khan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pinkman eats them both and turns towards Khan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Pinkman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Khan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pinkman, up you get!

Pinkman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pinkman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Pinkman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Amir Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Khan cracks Pinkman with an open hand slap.
Khan misses the shot to the body.
Pinkman has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Pinkman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Amir Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Pinkman.
Khan misses with a looping left.
Khan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Khan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pinkman just misses with a punch to the body.
Pinkman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Khan's waist but Khan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pinkman off to one side.

And that's the end of the fight!
Amir Khan showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
