Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Lindblad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malone feints and as Lindblad raises his hands in defense, Malone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Malone passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lindblad stops Malone from passing to mount.

Malone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Malone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lindblad has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lindblad is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Malone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Malone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Malone swings around for an armbar but Lindblad sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Malone's guard.

Malone wants to sweep here but Lindblad controlling him for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lindblad accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Malone tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lindblad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Malone had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lindblad is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Malone Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lindblad's back instead.

Lindblad has his feet on Malone's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Lindblad ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malone moves away.

Malone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Malone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Andreas Lindblad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Malone.

Malone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lindblad as he jumps to the side.

Malone stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Malone shoots in for a takedown but Lindblad shows good takedown defense.

That was a close round but I would say that Andreas Lindblad will probably get the nod.

Malone moves into full mount! Lindblad won't be happy about that!

Malone goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lindblad is on top in guard.

Malone is looking for a triangle but Lindblad pushes his legs off easily.

Malone has his foot on Lindblad's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lindblad works his way back into a safe position though.

Malone is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lindblad has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Malone is trying to stick to Lindblad's back but Lindblad is turning into Malone. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Malone's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lindblad.

Malone is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Lindblad rolls with it to try and escape but Malone cranks on the arm and Lindblad is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
