The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golem throws a sloppy head kick and Van Beethoven moves out of range easily.

A jab-cross combination lands for Golem and sends Van Beethoven crashing to the mat! Golem follows him down to the mat - Van Beethoven regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Wolfgang Van Beethoven has been cut.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Van Beethoven walks straight into a right hand from Golem - that's dropped him! Golem jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Van Beethoven from any more punishment! Van Beethoven complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
