The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Echano counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Echano counters with a head kick. That will keep DiMag thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

DiMag tries for a takedown but Echano manages to get underhooks.
DiMag misses with a hook from the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Echano creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Echano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nich DiMag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Echano throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Echano closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Echano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Echano connects with a high kick.
Echano looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
DiMag misses with a takedown
and Echano counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. DiMag is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Echano closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

DiMag manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Echano's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Echano decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Echano lands a nice leg kick that just misses DiMag's sensitive parts.
DiMag takes a kick to the side of the head.

DiMag content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Echano has locked up a guillotine! Echano's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? DiMag is holding on here and Echano must be using up a lot of energy. DiMag has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Echano gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
