The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirmu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Montgomery. Montgomery circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Will Montgomery has been cut.
Montgomery moves out of range as Hirmu strikes.
Hirmu looks to land a left hand but Montgomery moved out of range nicely.
Hirmu misses the jab.
Montgomery displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hirmu throws out the jab.
Hirmu lands a nice shot to the body.
Hirmu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Horrible takedown attempt by Montgomery or perhaps it was just good defense by Hirmu, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hirmu cracks Montgomery with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Montgomery looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hirmu finish him?
Montgomery is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hirmu misses with a looping right.
Oh Montgomery is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hirmu looks to land a left hand but Montgomery moved out of range nicely.
Montgomery seems to have got his legs back now.
Hirmu drops Montgomery with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Montgomery! Hirmu dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
