Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randomly Named Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Shimazu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randomly Named Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, William Shimazu!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimazu misses with a looping left.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shimazu looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shimazu misses the jab.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shimazu.
Shimazu tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Fighter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Shimazu throws an overhand right that lands on Fighter's shoulder, as Fighter tries to avoid the shot.
Shimazu doesn't manage to clinch there - Fighter circles away.
Shimazu closes the distance looking to clinch
and Fighter counters with a one-two to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Fighter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fighter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Randomly Named Fighter has been cut.

and Fighter counters with a three punch combo that has Shimazu backing up. Shimazu nods at Fighter to acknowledge the strikes.
Shimazu moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Shimazu closes the distance but Fighter moves to the side
and Fighter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

A big right from Shimazu misses.
Shimazu cracks Fighter with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Shimazu tries to clinch up but Fighter circles away and keeps his distance.

and Fighter counters with a left and a right that stings Shimazu.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Fighter counters with a left and a right that stings Shimazu.
Shimazu wants to clinch but Fighter slips to the side
letting Fighter counter with a right hand.
Shimazu tries to clinch there but Fighter circles away.
Shimazu tries to clinch but Fighter moves out of range.
Shimazu tries to close the distance and clinch but Fighter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Fighter counters with a big head kick but Shimazu shrugs it off.

Fighter slips under a jab from Shimazu.
Shimazu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fighters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Shimazu is looking to clinch but Fighter is avoiding it.

and Shimazu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Shimazu throws an off balance right hand
and Fighter counters with a left and a right that stings Shimazu.
Fighter swats away the attempt to clinch by Shimazu.
Shimazu throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fighter counters with a left and a right that stings Shimazu.
Fighter swats away the attempt to clinch by Shimazu.

Shimazu looks to clinch
and Fighter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shimazu throws the left hand but Fighter avoids the punch easily.
Shimazu wants to clinch
and Fighter counters with a right hand to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shimazu tries to score with a low kick but Fighter moves his leg out of the way.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shimazu looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Fighter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Shimazu tries to grapple but his opponent circles
enabling Fighter to counter with a crisp jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Shimazu throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Shimazu misses with a lunging right hand
letting Fighter counter with a right hand.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Shimazu might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Fighter has got the better of the exchanges.
Shimazu cracks Fighter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Fighter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shimazu can do to turn this around?

William Shimazu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shimazu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fighter, pushing him back against the cage.

Fighter tries to score a body lock takedown but Shimazu shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Fighter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shimazu after a bit of a struggle.

Fighter tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Shimazu throws a head punch that misses.
Fighter lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Shimazu scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Shimazu.
Fighter looking to throw knees to the head but Shimazu is blocking nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shimazu has a couple of punches blocked by Fighter.
Shimazu misses with a hook from the clinch.
Shimazu gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fighter.
Fighter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Fighter wants to take the fight to the mat but Shimazu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Fighter blocks the elbow strike.
Shimazu unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fighter lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

William Shimazu seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Randomly Named Fighter's cut is getting worse.
Shimazu lands with a short shot to the head.


Fighter is rocked!
Shimazu has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Fighter - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Shimazu, and another! Fighter is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). William Shimazu!
In his post fight interview, William Shimazu started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
