Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jartsa Raatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abedisi Mahamud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mahamud's choice of entrance music: Darkest corner - Drummin from darknessg. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Abedisi Mahamud!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raatis with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mahamud to score with a decent uppercut.
Raatis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Raatis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Raatis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jartsa Raatis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mahamud takes a head kick and keeps coming.
No joy there for Mahamud, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mahamud ducks under a wild hook from Raatis.
Raatis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mahamud connects with a right hand. Raatis shakes it off.
Mahamud has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mahamud looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Raatis ducks under a wild hook from Mahamud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Raatis slips a straight right by Mahamud.
Raatis shoots in for a takedown but Mahamud shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Raatis misses with a looping right.
Raatis rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mahamud counters with a right hand to the body.

Raatis misses with a body shot.
Raatis lands with a kick to the ribs.
Mahamud comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Mahamud lands a left and a right that send Raatis crashing to the mat, dazed. Mahamud thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Raatis is rocked!
Mahamud misses the jab.
Oh Raatis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Raatis slips a straight right by Mahamud.
Mahamud scores with a sloppy right hand. Raatis should have avoided that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mahamud lands a nice looking body shot.
Raatis tries to land a front kick but Mahamud steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Raatis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mahamud.
Raatis seems to have got his legs back now.
Mahamud throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Raatis's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mahamud dives in looking to finish as Raatis flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mahamud's strikes! Mahamud is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Raatis's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Raatis was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
