Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafal Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Ironstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sandaless - Wojownik. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafal Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rodney Ironstone!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ironstone throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ironstone connects with a body shot that sends Wallace's belly button to the back.
Wallace shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ironstone defends it nicely.
Ironstone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ironstone keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wallace.
Ironstone throws a head kick but Wallace moves out of range.
Ironstone pushes Wallace away with a front kick.
Ironstone moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Wallace closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ironstone's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ironstone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wallace is controlling him.
Ironstone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wallace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ironstone is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Wallace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ironstone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wallace is looking to work some ground and pound but Ironstone has wrist control.
Ironstone wants to get back to his feet but Wallace is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Ironstone gets caught flat footed, as Wallace shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Wallace prevents Ironstone from getting back to his feet.
Wallace loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ironstone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wallace is controlling him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ironstone keeping full guard, as Wallace tries to pass.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ironstone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wallace looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ironstone.
Ironstone lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wallace is defended easily by Ironstone.
Ironstone throws a head kick that misses.
Wallace fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafal Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ironstone gets a clinch.

Ironstone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ironstone takes the fight into the clinch.

Ironstone tries to circle away but Wallace has him pinned against the cage.
Wallace's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wallace is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ironstone to keep the fight standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wallace had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ironstone defends it easily.

Ironstone wants to stand but Wallace is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace is trying to keep Ironstone in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodney Ironstone dominated that round.
That's time! Wallace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Ironstone throws a head kick that misses.
Wallace looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Wallace closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rafal Wallace overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ironstone is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wallace asserts his dominance and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wallace tries to advance to mount but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ironstone wants to get back to his feet but Wallace drags him back down.

Wallace tries to clinch but Ironstone moves out of range.
Ironstone lands with a right hand.
Wallace slips a jab and a cross from Ironstone.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ironstone.

Horrible takedown attempt by Wallace or perhaps it was just good defense by Ironstone, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafal Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ironstone throws a head kick but Wallace moves out of range.
Ironstone pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wallace throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ironstone's waist but Ironstone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wallace off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ironstone drives through and clinches with Wallace against the cage.
Ironstone lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Wallace keeps control of Ironstone as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ironstone looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wallace has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ironstone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ironstone tries to circle away but Wallace has him pinned against the cage.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wallace is defended easily by Ironstone.
Ironstone tries to land a front kick but Wallace steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ironstone lands a right hook to the body.
Wallace avoids the head kick by Ironstone.
Ironstone throws a sloppy head kick and Wallace moves out of range easily.
Wallace shoots in but no luck this time.
Ironstone is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ironstone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wallace looks for a takedown but Ironstone sprawls well.

Ironstone shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wallace eats them both and turns towards Ironstone to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ironstone bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Ironstone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ironstone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Wallace avoids the head kick by Ironstone.
Rodney Ironstone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wallace tries to keep at a distance but Ironstone has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rodney Ironstone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Wallace tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ironstone swivels and escapes.
Rodney Ironstone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wallace tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ironstone just stands there and leans against the cage.

Wallace with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ironstone to score with a decent uppercut.

Ironstone catches Wallace with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been informed that Ironstone has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Ironstone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ironstone rushes Wallace and presses him up against the cage.

Wallace gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ironstone can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wallace is standing up over Ironstone. Ironstone looks to escape but Wallace dives into side control.
Ironstone prevents Wallace from moving into mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A jab lands there for Ironstone.
Wallace doesn't manage to clinch there - Ironstone circles away.
Wallace takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ironstone throws a sloppy head kick and Wallace moves out of range easily.

Ironstone moves into range and connects with a jab.

Ironstone goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rafal Wallace has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ironstone lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ironstone tries to bum rush Wallace with a series of wild strikes but Wallace uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rodney Ironstone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Ironstone winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
