Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Brdjan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sandor Clegane!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brdjan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clegane paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Brdjan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Clegane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Clegane shoots in for a double leg but Brdjan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Clegane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brdjan avoids the head kick by Clegane.
Peter Brdjan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Brdjan. Those never looked like landing.
Clegane moves into range and connects with a jab.


It looks like Peter Brdjan has been cut.
Brdjan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brdjan closes the distance and clinches up with Clegane, looking for a takedown. Brdjan pushes Clegane against the cage but Clegane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Clegane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clegane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Brdjan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Peter Brdjan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandor Clegane.
No luck for Brdjan with that takedown attempt.

Clegane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Clegane shoots in but no luck this time.
Clegane tries to score with a low kick but Brdjan moves his leg out of the way.
Brdjan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Clegane circles away.

and Clegane counters with an outside leg kick.
Brdjan is breathing heavily.
Clegane cracks a nice hook into Brdjan's ribs.
Clegane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brdjan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brdjan tries to clinch but Clegane moves out of range.
Brdjan checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Clegane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brdjan.
Clegane lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Clegane shoots in for a takedown but Brdjan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Clegane is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Clegane has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Brdjan avoids the head kick by Clegane.
Brdjan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Clegane throws a head kick but Brdjan moves out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Clegane scores with a jab to the body.
Clegane does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Clegane tries to clinch but Brdjan is having none of it.

Clegane looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Brdjan!

Clegane thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ground and pound from Clegane seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Clegane looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Clegane advances to mount.
Clegane tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Clegane scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Brdjan?
Clegane controlling from the full mount.
Brdjan is looking to improve his position but Clegane isn't that keen on the idea.
Clegane lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clegane thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Brdjan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Clegane takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Brdjan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Brdjan blocking the ground and pound.
Clegane thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandor Clegane dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Brdjan is looking to clinch but Clegane is avoiding it.
Clegane swats away the attempt to clinch by Brdjan.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brdjan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brdjan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


Peter Brdjan's cut is getting worse.
Clegane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Clegane lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Brdjan falls backwards - clearly groggy! Clegane dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sandor Clegane!
