Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mystery Perfect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pjalte Plavs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perfect's jab looks to have found its range, popping Plavs under the eye.
Perfect moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Perfect wants to clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Perfect.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Perfect lands some shots froms side control.
Plavs wants to get back to his feet but Perfect drags him back down.
Plavs can't do much from the bottom here.
Plavs tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plavs is trying to control Perfect's posture but Perfect avoids it.

Perfect tries to stand but Plavs controls the position and pulls Perfect into his guard.

Plavs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Perfect tries to stand but Plavs is controlling from the bottom.
Plavs wants to stand up but Perfect is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Plavs should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Plavs tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Perfect defends well and Plavs ends up having to push Perfect into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Plavs throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Perfect blocks it with crossed arms.
Perfect tries for a takedown. No joy.
Perfect goes for a takedown attempt but Plavs pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Plavs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Perfect displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Pjalte Plavs has been cut.
Plavs moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Perfect moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Plavs looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Plavs closes the distance and clinches up with Perfect, looking for a takedown. Plavs pushes Perfect against the cage but Perfect circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Plavs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A short uppercut from Perfect.
Perfect has hold of one of Plavs's legs. Plavs is fighting the takedown attempt but Perfect gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Perfect stops Plavs from standing up.
Perfect avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Plavs looking to control.
Perfect throws a big right hand that misses.
Perfect is looking to work some ground and pound but Plavs has wrist control.
Perfect looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Plavs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perfect doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perfect manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Perfect closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Plavs can't do much from the bottom here.
Perfect is putting a hurting on Plavs here, landing some big shots from side control.

The cut man is working on Pjalte Plavs's cut.
That's time! Perfect's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Plavs fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mystery Perfect is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Plavs fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Plavs misses with a takedown attempt - Perfect sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Plavs is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Perfect.
Plavs has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Perfect finds it's way round the side to connect with Plavs's head.
Perfect moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Plavs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mystery Perfect seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Plavs misses with a jab to the body
and Perfect counters with a slapping leg kick.
A jab lands there for Perfect.
Plavs rushes Perfect and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perfect gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Plavs regains guard.

Perfect wants to control from the top but Plavs keeps moving.
Perfect stands and steps away. Plavs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Plavs moves into the clinch.
Perfect escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perfect throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Perfect's corner calls for a 1-2. Perfect obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Plavs throws an off balance right hand
and Perfect counters with a head kick that drops Plavs - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!
Plavs is rocked!
Perfect trying to control the action but Plavs is working from the bottom.
Plavs is still in real trouble! Can Perfect finish him?
Plavs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Perfect is working away from the top position though.
Perfect working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Perfect trying to control from Plavs's half guard. Plavs has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Plavs seems to have recovered his senses.
Perfect has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Perfect avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Perfect stands up over Plavs, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Perfect working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Plavs's head.
Perfect scoring with some ground and pound.

Perfect is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Plavs can do to turn this around?

Perfect got a little sloppy there for a moment and Plavs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perfect has managed to get both his arms back between Plavs's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Perfect bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Plavs takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Perfect wants to control but Plavs is keeping him busy.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Plavs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Perfect.
Perfect lands the left hand.
Perfect thumps Plavs with a low kick.
Perfect chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Perfect lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Perfect shoots in and drives through. Plavs sprawls well.
Perfect tries to score a power double leg takedown but Plavs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perfect somewhat.

Plavs gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Perfect tries to close the distance and clinch but Plavs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Plavs has taken the fight to the clinch.
Perfect has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Plavs is trying to keep an underhook but Perfect manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Perfect landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Perfect is trying to control the action in half guard but Plavs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Plavs pushes Perfect off looking to stand but Perfect dives back in and keeps control.

Mystery Perfect overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Perfect with the ground and pound but Plavs uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Perfect's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Perfect with a flurry of punches that miss.
Plavs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perfect is one step ahead there.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Perfect fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Plavs.

Perfect shoots in and bounces Plavs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Mystery Perfect is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Plavs is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Perfect is aware though and is defending well.

Pjalte Plavs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Plavs has his foot on Perfect's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perfect works his way back into a safe position though.

Mystery Perfect showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Perfect, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
