Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Walters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Belshiknolav!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belshiknolav lands a nice looking body kick.
Belshiknolav scores with a nice head shot.
Walters shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Belshiknolav sprawls well. Belshiknolav wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Walters gets slowly back to his feet.
Walters goes for a double leg but Belshiknolav avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Belshiknolav continues to drive forward.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Belshiknolav.
Belshiknolav tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Walters drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Walters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Walters has Belshiknolav pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Belshiknolav manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Belshiknolav pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belshiknolav fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Walters has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice takedown defense from Belshiknolav. No joy for Walters on that attempt.
Walters darts in looking for a takedown but Belshiknolav gets double underhooks and turns Walters into the cage.
Belshiknolav lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.


It looks like Joe Walters has been cut.

Belshiknolav breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belshiknolav thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Walters if he has to take too many more of those.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Belshiknolav, right into the meat.
Walters shoots in for a takedown but Belshiknolav shows good takedown defense.
Walters is breathing heavily.
Walters has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Belshiknolav.
Belshiknolav throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Walters's head.
Belshiknolav throws a head kick that misses.
Belshiknolav has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
A head kick misses from Belshiknolav.
Walters fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Belshiknolav defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Walters.
Walters has been working on his balance at Jef Li's MMA(13 coaches, 49 cap), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Belshiknolav.
Belshiknolav throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Walters will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Belshiknolav lands a big head kick that sends Walters tumbling to the mat! Belshiknolav takes a step backwards and waves Walters back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Walters is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Belshiknolav throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Walters crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
