The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Franco.

Lee shoots in and gets a takedown into Franco's guard.
Franco preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Lee prevents Franco from getting back to his feet.
Franco pulls Lee in close to his closed guard and prevents Lee from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Lee throws a strike but Franco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Franco has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lee's face.
Lee's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lee can do anything to dispel that myth.

Franco looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee is bucking up trying to escape but Franco cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Franco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lee takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The referee warns Lee that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
