Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ed Gennero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Pattersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattersson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Banana song Peel Banana kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Ed Gennero has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattersson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Doug Pattersson has been cut.
Pattersson looks to throw the jab but Gennero is out of range.
Gennero scores with a nice right hand.
Gennero cracks Pattersson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gennero tries to clinch there but Pattersson circles away.

Pattersson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gennero can pounce on him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gennero lands a big right hand that sends Pattersson crashing to the mat! Gennero stays standing though and waves Pattersson back to his feet!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pattersson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Doug Pattersson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Pattersson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Gennero lands a left and a right that send Pattersson crashing to the mat, dazed. Gennero thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Doug Pattersson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A relieved looking Ed Gennero thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Doug Pattersson stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well.. Didn't expect this to happen, but hey win some loose some! I will rise to top anyway!'.
