Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bolt Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Palmares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morris comes to the cage accompanied by MMMBop. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bolt Morris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodrigo Palmares!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmares will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Morris misses with a body kick.
Palmares shoots for a takedown but Morris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bolt Morris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Palmares throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morris's waist but Morris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Palmares off to one side.
Morris feints and as Palmares raises his hands in defense, Morris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Palmares escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Morris seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We've been hearing good reports from Morris's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Morris creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

That's time! Morris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Morris moves out of range of the leg kick from Palmares.
Palmares throws a body punch but Morris moves out of range.
Morris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Palmares. That did some damage!

and Morris moves into the clinch.

Morris goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Palmares drops down looking for an ankle pick but Morris pulls his leg out and moves away.

Morris tries to bum rush Palmares with a series of wild strikes but Palmares uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Palmares has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Morris.

Morris closes the distance and pushes Palmares back into the cage.

Palmares tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Morris lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Morris is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Palmares can't fight it off and eventually Morris manages to take the fight to the floor. Palmares looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Morris rolls with it to try and escape but Palmares cranks on the arm and Morris is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
