PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bok Choy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Garetto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Choy comes to the cage accompanied by Bling Bling by Cash Money Millionaires. Garetto has chosen El Garrote as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bok Choy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lenny Garetto!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garetto closes the distance and clinches.
Choy lands a hook to the side of the head.

Choy manages to break the clinch.
Choy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Garetto. Garetto circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Garetto tries to clinch but Choy moves out of range.
Choy throws a head kick that half lands.
Garetto stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Choy.
Choy moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Choy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Garetto's coach down at pro training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Garetto's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Choy cracks Garetto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


Garetto is rocked!
Garetto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Choy can pounce on him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Choy lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Garetto is still on wobbly legs! Can Choy finish him?
Choy seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Choy connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Garetto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Choy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Garetto seems to have recovered his senses.
Choy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Garetto.
A chopping leg kick lands by Choy.
Garetto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Choy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Garetto is looking to clinch.
Choy keeps the fight on the outside.
Choy swats away the attempt to clinch by Garetto.
Choy pushes Garetto away with a front kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garetto tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Choy counter with a right hand.
Garetto tries to clinch but Choy moves out of range.
Choy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Choy lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Choy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Garetto doesn't seem bothered though.
Garetto moves in looking to clinch but Choy pushes him off.
Garetto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Choy can pounce on him.
Garetto wants to clinch
and Choy counters with a head kick. That will keep Garetto thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
A nice leg kick lands there from Choy.
Garetto closes the distance looking to clinch
and Choy counters with a thumping low kick.
Garetto sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Choy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Garetto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lenny Garetto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Garetto tries to clinch
and Choy counters with a one-two to the body.
Choy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Choy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Choy throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Garetto closes the distance but Choy moves to the side
and Choy counters with an inside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Choy rushes Garetto with punches - Garetto moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Garetto goes down! Choy follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bok Choy!
As Bok Choy got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Your pain and suffering is of no consequence to me. You made the mistake of crossing my path, so I have crossed out your future. Now get your raggedy punk ass out my cage bitch!'.
The defeated Lenny Garetto had this to say: 'Estás muerto.'.
