The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Haddad misses with an uppercut. Nation saw that one coming.
Al Haddad throws a nice outside leg kick.
Al Haddad getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Al Haddad falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nation counters with a nice uppercut.
Nation avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Al Haddad ducks under a wild hook from Nation.

Al Haddad throws out a loose jab but Nation uses good head movement to avoid it.

Nation uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Al Haddad.
Al Haddad tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Al Haddad doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Al Haddad moves in looking to clinch but Nation pushes him off.
Nikolai Nation is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nikolai Nation seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Al Haddad might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Nation fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Al Haddad manages to avoid it.

Nation throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Al Haddad takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nation fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Al Haddad takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Nation counters with a crisp one two that drops Al Haddad! Nation thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Al Haddad to his feet! Al Haddad is in big trouble!

Nation lands a nice looking body shot.
Al Haddad is still on wobbly legs! Can Nation finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Nation knocks Al Haddad out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
