Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jong Ping Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Onkel Bergmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bergmann has chosen Never Give Up as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kim Jong Ping Pong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Onkel Bergmann!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergmann swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Ping Pong lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bergmann shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bergmann checks a leg kick.
A swing and a miss from Bergmann.
Bergmann takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bergmann throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Bergmann has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ping Pong avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kim Jong Ping Pong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bergmann is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ping Pong sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ping Pong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ping Pong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ping Pong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ping Pong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bergmann doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bergmann manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bergmann postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Ping Pong is defending against the submission attempts here by Bergmann.
Ping Pong is positioning himself well to prevent Bergmann advancing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bergmann stalling away here and it's allowed Ping Pong to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bergmann trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bergmann engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bergmann looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ping Pong is fending him off so far but Bergmann persists. Nope, Ping Pong circles away and we're back to standing.
Kim Jong Ping Pong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Onkel Bergmann.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bergmann keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ping Pong throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bergmann sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bergmann is looking to score with low kicks.
Bergmann tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ping Pong swivels and escapes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim Jong Ping Pong dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ping Pong throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bergmann pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ping Pong is out of range and Bergmann settles back down.
Ping Pong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bergmann moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bergmann tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ping Pong defends well and Bergmann ends up having to push Ping Pong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bergmann stalling in the clinch but Ping Pong improves position.
Ping Pong lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bergmann.
Ping Pong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bergmann can do to turn this around?
Ping Pong lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Ping Pong lands with a short shot to the head.
Ping Pong is leaning against Bergmann and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Ping Pong is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Ping Pong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ping Pong moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ping Pong tries to land a front kick but Bergmann steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ping Pong connects with a leg kick. Bergmann looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ping Pong throws out a powerful jab.
Ping Pong lands with a straight right. Bergmann didn't see that one coming.
Bergmann tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ping Pong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bergmann somewhat.
Bergmann misses with an uppercut. Ping Pong saw that one coming.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bergmann.
Bergmann misses with a low kick.

Ping Pong lands a big uppercut and Bergmann crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bergmann looks OK. Ping Pong waves Bergmann back to his feet!


It looks like Onkel Bergmann has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ping Pong tries to score with a low kick but Bergmann moves his leg out of the way.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ping Pong gets through Bergmann's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Bergmann is looking to break free of the clinch but Ping Pong has double underhooks.
Ping Pong has Bergmann pressed against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ping Pong breaks from the clinch.
Bergmann does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ping Pong is looking to clinch.
Ping Pong lands with a right hand.
Bergmann moves out of range as Ping Pong throws a body kick.
Ping Pong swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ping Pong shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bergmann eats them both and turns towards Ping Pong to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


Bergmann is rocked!
A solid leg kick lands there for Ping Pong.
Bergmann is still on wobbly legs! Can Ping Pong finish him?

Kim Jong Ping Pong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Onkel Bergmann.
Bergmann throws the kick towards the body but Ping Pong avoids it.

Ping Pong closes the distance and clinches.
Ping Pong lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Bergmann to his knees! Ping Pong keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kim Jong Ping Pong!
