Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvis Yorker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marvis Yorker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gray checks a leg kick.

Yorker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gray looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Yorker lands a decent elbow from side control.
Gray can't do much from the bottom here.
Gray manages to work his way to half guard, despite Yorker's best efforts.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yorker defends it easily.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Yorker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Yorker lands a nice short elbow.

It looks like Marvis Yorker has been cut.

Let's hope that Yorker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gray is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yorker is aware though and is defending well.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Yorker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
