The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mooney stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Mooney rushes Wojcik and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mooney pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wojcik gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mooney to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wojcik has a closed guard, preventing Mooney from standing up.

Wojcik isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mooney stacks Wojcik on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mooney!
Mooney knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wojcik on the ground.
Mooney wants to stand but Wojcik has his arm trapped.

Mooney got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wojcik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mooney has managed to get both his arms back between Wojcik's legs - danger averted.

Wojcik throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mooney escapes and throws Wojcik's legs to the side, diving into side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wojcik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mooney tries to stand and escape but Wojcik is controlling the position.

Mooney is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Mooney feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
