Nanahara's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, God Particle. Vladimir has chosen Banks - Warm Water (Snakehips Remix) as his entrance music. Lord Vladimir has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nanahara slips a straight right by Vladimir.

Vladimir seems to be working for a kimura but Nanahara defends the submission attempt.

Vladimir throws a shot from downtown. Nanahara moves away and avoids it.
Vladimir shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nanahara as he jumps to the side.

and Nanahara counters with a leg kick.
Nanahara moves out of range of the strikes.
Nanahara is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vladimir.

Nanahara fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vladimir on the side of the head.

It looks like Lord Vladimir has been cut.
Horrible takedown attempt by Vladimir or perhaps it was just good defense by Nanahara, which made it look bad.
Nanahara misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vladimir.
Nanahara takes a swing at Vladimir's ribcage but misses.

Shuya Nanahara is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Nanahara shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Vladimir closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nanahara to the mat! Nanahara manages to get full guard.
Nanahara wants to stand up but Vladimir is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Vladimir's coach down at Sun Ra and his Arkestra's training camp was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vladimir's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Vladimir shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nanahara defends it nicely.

Vladimir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nanahara manages to avoid it.

Vladimir fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Nanahara throws an overhand right that drops Vladimir like a sack of potatoes! Nanahara dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Shuya Nanahara spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
