The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreira shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Adams sprawls well. Adams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Moreira gets slowly back to his feet.
Moreira looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Moreira takes a knee right on the jaw!
Moreira jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Adams walks away with a smile on his face. Moreira gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Adams connects with a leg kick. Moreira looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Moreira closes the distance and pushes Adams back into the cage.

Moreira is looking to break free of the clinch but Adams has double underhooks.

Adams tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

We've been informed that Moreira has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Moreira throws a leg kick but Adams sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Adams lands a head kick. Moreira smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
No luck for Adams with that takedown attempt.

Moreira throws a nice looking combination but Adams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Adams drives through with a takedown into guard.

Adams throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Moreira's head.

Adams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moreira walks away with a smile on his face. Adams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Moreira will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Adams counters with a body kick that stops Moreira in his tracks momentarily.
Adams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moreira but Moreira pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Adams lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Moreira has managed to clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moreira can't do much from the bottom here.

Adams is pressed up against the cage. Moreira has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Adams down to the mat. Adams avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Moreira throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Adams lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Adams closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Moreira's guard.
